Stupid Idea.
Bryant Park is perfect as is, and has been since long before I had my new to the city intern lunches. I remember reading years ago someone's happy bewilderment at the fact those green chairs are there for all, and somehow never disappear. Thieves stay away, and anyway, where would they go with them?

People know the chairs belong there, and a skating rink doesn’t. If anything, they should do away with Fashion Week.
