kaboom!!

there are times that remind you that you live in the best city in the universe -- this is a transferable reminder, that can occur to people who live places other than new york.

last night was one of those times. because there are fireworks, and then there are fireworks watched from the shore of the east river in brooklyn, with the bridge itself silhouetted in the distance while you drink from a ballentine pounder can.

those fireworks are much better.
